Jigawa Confirms 51 Fresh COVID-19 Cases

Jigawa State has announced that 51 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the state.

This takes the total confirmed cases of the virus in the state to 169 with three fatalities so far.

The state Commissioner for Health, Abba Zakari who confirmed the development to newsmen in Dutse, the state capital, said preventive measures are been taken to curtail the spread of the pandemic which include imposing of wearing face masks, observing social distance, washing of hands among others.

Zakari said 31 of the cases are almajiri kids that were repatriated from Kano state, adding that the government is taking adequate care of the returnee almajiri in terms of their feeding, shelter and other basic needs.
