The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the last February 25 presidential and national assembly elections, Mr Peter Gregory Obi has expressed optimism in getting back his ‘mandate’ via court judgement.

Obi during his appearance on the Channels TV’s Sunrise Daily today monitored by Politics Digest expressed his dissatisfactions about the last elections, querying why would INEC failed or refused to transmit election results electronically as it promised.

He proverbially rued that to whom much is given, much is expected in reference to the reported huge sum of money the INEC was given to conduct the 2023 general elections.

On his acceptance or otherwise about the proposed Government of National Unity (GNU) by the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the LP flag bearer emphatically said that he rejected it, until the whole process is gotten right.

He said the question is that the election is riddled with criminality, while exuding the confidence that it will be sorted out in the court.

“It is not about me accepting it or not, it is about if the process is right or not.

“The election is marred with criminality, and no wonder they are saying they have structures, structures of rigging elections and criminality”.
