International Girl Child Day: HEDCODEC Seeks innovative Action to Protect, Empower Girls

Heroic Discovery and Community Development Center (HEDCODEC) advocates  for urgent deployment of innovative program that  gear toward protecting and empowering  girls, to achieve their  full potentials.

In a statement signed by the Kabir Abdulsalam, Communication Officer on Wednesday in Abuja.

The statement read in part: ” With the prevalence of what Young girls are facing around the world such as discrimination, violence, and inequality,  they are more likely to live in poverty, to be denied access to education and healthcare, and to be victims of child marriage and gender-based violence. These hindrance can denied t of achieving the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

“This year theme “Invest in Girls’ Rights: Our Leadership, Our Well-being”, seeks to encourage world leaders, individual an organisation to invest more on girls to achieve there full potentials.

“HEDCODEC is working to protect and empower girls in by providing them with adequate information to access education, healthcare, and life skills training. The organization also works to raise awareness of the challenges that girls face and to advocate for their rights.

“On this International Girl Child Day, we invite you to join us in celebrating the potential of girls and in taking action to create a better future for them.

“We can all do our part to protect and empower girls by investing in their education and healthcare, creating safe spaces where they can thrive, ending discrimination against them, and ensuring that they have the same opportunities as boys to succeed,” the statement reads.
