The UK government has approved a vaccine developed by Oxford-AstraZeneca for use.

The vaccine was developed by scientists at Oxford University.

The UK is said to have ordered 100 million doses of the vaccine which will be administered on 50 million people — two doses each.

This is, however, the second COVID-19 vaccine to be approved by the UK government for use. Earlier in December, the government had approved the vaccine developed by Pfizer.

More details soon.
