The Nigerian senate has announced the closure of all activities over the spread of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

The senate president, Ahmad Lawan made the announcement on Tuesday after a closed- door session at the red chamber.

Lawan said the senate would resume plenary on April 7.

Recall the Senate had last week announced a partial closure of its gallery and stoppage of public hearing as measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
