President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered all government officials who had just returned from Germany on an official engagement to compulsorily self-isolate as measure to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.

A source at the villa confirmed to Vanguard that the President ordered all FG officials who “returned from high burden COVID-19 countries to self-isolate after some of them returned from Germany last week, refusing to embark on self-isolation.”

“Some of them were reported to have been coughing loudly and continuously recently.

“The Presidential order is to ensure that the Presidency sets a good example regarding social distancing and discouragement of large gatherings.” Vanguard reports.

According to Nigerian Centre for Disease Control NCDC, the confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria have risen to 40 as four new cases were confirmed on Monday night.
