BREAKING: Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases Exceed 6,000, As 216 New Infections Are Confirmed

216 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the tally of total infections in the country to 6,175.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC made the announcement on Monday via its verified Twitter handle.

Out of the 216 new cases, 74 were confirmed in Lagos, 33 in Katsina, 19 in Oyo, 17 in Kano, 13 in Edo, 10 in Zamfara, eight in Ogun, Gombe and Borno, seven in Bauchi and Kwara, four in FCT, three in Kaduna and Enugu and two in Rivers.

Deaths and discharged cases also rose to 191 and 1644 respectively.
