Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) has finally disbanded the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Adamu made the announcement during a press conference on Sunday.
This comes after days of protest by many Nigerians demanding that the squad be scrapped due to ceaseless brutality, unlawful arrest and extrajudicial killings by SARS.
