Two coronavirus patients have successfully tested negative for the disease and have been discharged from the Edo State isolation centre.

The state governor, Godwin Obaseki made the disclosure on Friday via his verified Twitter handle.

The newly discharged cases bring the tally of total confirmed discharged patients in the state to 12.

Obaseki tweeted: “My dear Edo people, We’ve just discharged 2 more #COVID19 patients after they tested negative twice for the virus. This brings the number of patients managed and discharged from our isolation centres to 12. We seek your support as we intensify efforts to contain the pandemic.”
