BREAKING: 5 Deaths, 404 New Cases, As COVID-19 Toll Hits 42,208

404 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria, bringing the total to 43,208 in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure on Wednesday via it verified Twitter handle.

Lagos, the epicentre of the virus, topped the list of fresh daily cases with 106, followed by FCT-54, Rivers-48, Plateau-40, Edo-29, Enugu-21, Oyo-20, Kano-18, Ondo-15, Ogun-10, Ebonyi-9, Ekiti-8, Kaduna-6, Cross River-5, Kwara-4, Anambra-3, Delta-3, Imo-2, Nasarawa-2 and Borno-1.

Five new fatalities were confirmed across the country, taking the total to 873 , while total recoveries rose to 19,004.

A breakdown of the cases by NCDC reads below:
