BREAKING: 196 New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Nigeria, Total Now 1728

Nigeria has confirmed 196 new cases of coronavirus in the country, bringing the total to 1728.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC made the disclosure on Wednesday via its verified Twitter handle.

Out of the 196 new cases, 87 were confirmed in Lagos, 24 in Kano, 18 in Gombe, 17 in Kaduna, 16 in Abuja, 10 in Katsina, eight in Sokoto, seven in Edo, six in Borno, and one each in Yobe, Ebonyi, and Adamawa.

Total deaths and discharged cases also rose to 51 and 307 respectively.

NCDC tweeted: “196 new cases of #COVID19 reported; 87-Lagos 24-Kano 18-Gombe 17-Kaduna 16-FCT 10-Katsina 8-Sokoto 7-Edo 6-Borno 1-Yobe 1-Ebonyi 1-Adamawa.

“As at 11:55pm 29th April- 1728 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Discharged: 307 Deaths: 51.”
