BREAKING: 176 New COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Nigeria, Total Now 5,621

Nigeria’s coronavirus cases have risen to 5,621 after 176 new infections were recorded in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC made the announcement on Saturday via its verified Twitter handle.

Of the 176 new cases, 95 were confirmed in Lagos, 31 in Oyo, 11 in FCT, eight in Niger and Borno, six in Jigawa, four in Kaduna, three in Anambra, two in Edo, Rivers, Nasarawa and Bauchi and one each in Benue and Zamfara.

Five new fatalities were also recorded while 152 patients newly recovered from the virus.

NCDC tweeted: “176 new cases of #COVID19; 95-Lagos 31-Oyo 11-FCT 8-Niger 8-Borno 6-Jigawa 4-Kaduna 3-Anambra 2-Edo 2-Rivers 2-Nasarawa 2-Bauchi 1-Benue 1-Zamfara.

“5621 cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 1472 Deaths: 176.”
