The Chief Executive Officer of International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), Arvind Krishna, has stated that the corporation will halt employment recruitment for human professions that could be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) in five years. Krishna told Bloomberg on Monday that recruiting in back-office activities like as human resources will gradually fade out because he believes AI will literally replace them. Charles Engola, Uganda’s state minister for labour, employment and industrial relations, has been shot dead by his bodyguard. Fred Enanga, a police spokesperson, said the minister was shot dead at about 8 am local time on Tuesday at his home in Kampala, the country’s capital.
