The new governor of Sokoto State, Dr Ahmed Aliyu, has nullified the appointments of 23 permanent secretaries and 15 directors general made by his predecessor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal. The governor, who assumed office around noon Tuesday, also suspended the 14 traditional rulers recently appointed by his predecessor. President Bola Tinubu has directed the Department of State Security Service to immediately vacate the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission in Ikoyi, Lagos. Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-rufai, has said his administration left behind financial liabilities to the tune of $577.32 million foreign debt, N64.54 billion domestic debt and Other Contingent Liabilities of N16.06 billion for the new governor, Senator Uba Sani.
