DSS Operatives Grill Suspended EFCC Chair, Bawa The Suspended Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, is currently in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS). It was learnt that Bawa arrived the headquarters of DSS at about 9:02pm. A source told Meridianspy that the suspended EFCC boss is currently being grilled by the operatives of the secret police. Spokesman of the DSS, Peter Afunanya ,confirmed Bawa’s presence in their custody, in a statement obtained by Meridianspy. He however, did not go into details of what Bawa was invited for by their secret police.

The multi-million dollar Golden Jubilee Monument, constructed by the last governor, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has been destroyed by the Kano State Government under Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf. Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has flagged off the distribution of 312 tractors and 100 trucks of fertiliser for sale to farmers across the 27 local government areas of the state.
