State governors of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has expressed satisfaction over the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The governors said they were proud of the President’s achievements, especially on security and economy which are parts of Buhari’s promise to Nigerians upon assuming office.

They noted some of the successes of the President, including getting the nation out of recession in 2016 and more recently the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The APC governors made this known at a virtual meeting held with President Buhari on Tuesday.

“We are proud of your leadership and achievements,” Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, quoted Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State to have said on behalf of his counterparts.

Commenting on the progress of the ruling party so far, following the dissolution of the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee and the emplacement of the Mai Mala Buni-led Caretaker Committee, the president remarked that he was impressed with those in charge of the party.

“I am pleased with the chairman and the work of the committee. He is highly mobile in the efforts to coordinate and strengthen the party. I am happy with his personal efforts,” Shehu quoted Buhari to have said.

“I am happy that they know their responsibilities as governors and had identified the right priorities.”
