Access Bank To Sponsor The Largest Fin-tech Conference In West Africa

Africa Fin-Tech Foundry is completely set to host the largest fin-tech conference in West Africa with Access Bank as its major sponsor.  The organization and its partners said this last week Tuesday during an all-important press conference held at Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event is specially carved out to achieve maximum tech-reorientation, influence, coupled with the needed spur for young startup players in Africa’s tech-world.  

‘’Disrupt 2019’’ comes with the theme: Building a sustainable tech economy; with subthemes which center around how

data has become the new gold and how it enables the use of AI, Robotics, Analytics and block chain technology.

It is also expected to bring out the best in emerging tech-gurus in both Nigeria, and Africa’s technology space.

The Disrupt Conference is slated for Thursday 16th May, 2019 at the Landmark Centre:  Plot 2 and 3 Water Cooperation, Island Annex, Lagos, Nigeria at 8am Nigerian time.

Expected guests and speakers for the event includes, Herbert Wigwe, CEO of Access Bank Nigeria, Brett King, among others.

The event is co-sponsored and supported by twenty other sponsors which includes, Microsoft, Afex,Dell,7up, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Unilever, Kia, Coldstone, Airtel, Templars, Pink berry, Internet Solutions Nigeria, Konga, etc.

Twenty startups  attended the startup challenge that was held on the 3rd of May. And five startups have been shortlisted amongst them to demonstrate at the event. The shortlisted startups  includes, Gricd, SmartTeller, Tripe Labs, Kaoshi and Seso.

The shortlisted startup will be representing different fields of Fin-tech; Al, BigData, Robotics, and Blockchain Technology.

Disrupt 2019  is aim at providing great opportunity for innovators, founders, entrepreneurs, experts, leaders and executives to network among themselves; it will also provide a platform for them to share their knowledge and inspire the future bright minds and founders to show case their start-ups. And the startup with the best initiative will receive a prize of $10,000 at the end of the event.
