UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson and fiancee, Carrie Symonds have named their newborn baby boy after their grandfathers and the hospital doctors who treated the British prime minister for COVID-19.

Meridian Spy had reported, few days ago, the British Prime Minister and his fiancee welcomed the arrival of a baby boy.

A spokeswoman for Johnson and his partner had said both mother and baby were “doing very well” after the birth at an NHS hospital on Wednesday morning.

“The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning. Both mother and baby are doing very well.

“The PM and Ms Symonds would like to thank the fantastic NHS maternity team,” the spokeswoman said.

However, today Saturday, the 32-year-old fiancee took to her Instagram page to share the news of the name of the baby.

She wrote: “Introducing Wilfred Lawrie Nicholas Johnson born on 29.04.20 at 9am.

“Wilfred after Boris’ grandfather, Lawrie after my grandfather, Nicholas after Dr Nick Price and Dr Nick Hart — the two doctors that saved Boris’ life last month.

“Thank you so, so much to the incredible NHS maternity team at UCLH (University College London Hospital) that looked after us so well. I couldn’t be happier. My heart is full.”
