Two Nigerian sisters from Corby, United Kingdom, Stephanie and Isabel Offor, have achieved a remarkable academic feat after graduating with First Class Honours in the same academic year.
Stephanie graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Leicester, while Isabel earned a First Class Honours degree from Nottingham Trent University’s Faculty of Law and Business.
Stephanie had earlier won the 2025 Goldsmith Prize for outstanding work during her placement year. She is now set to begin her career as a manufacturing engineer with Caterpillar, a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.
Isabel was one of only 11 students in her cohort of 47 to graduate with First Class Honours from Nottingham Trent University.
Their achievement was celebrated by their family and members of their wider community, with their father, Chidi Offor, describing the moment as one that initially seemed almost too good to be true.
Their mother, Oluchi Offor, also expressed pride in her daughters, while Isabel encouraged others to pursue their ambitions, work hard and refuse to allow anyone to make them feel inadequate.
