The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal (GEPT) sitting in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has reversed the results of the March 18 election and declared David Ombugadu of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the election.

Delivering the judgement virtually on Monday, the Tribunal chaired by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi annuled the result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) which gave victory to the incumbent Governor, Abdullahi Sule, of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Two judges out of three nullified the results while one dissented.
