Stock Exchange: Energy Sector Records 3.6% Gain in One Week

Stock Exchange: Energy Sector Records 3.6% Gain in One Week

 

Over the last seven days, the Nigerian stock market has remained flat, although the energy sector gained 3.6% in that time.

More promisingly, the market is up by 69% over the past year.

Economic Confidential reports that earnings are forecast to grow by 20% annually.

Meanwhile, in the last seven days, the oil and gas industry has risen 3.4%, driven by gains from every company within the industry.

According to experts, this means that the industry has gained 127% over the past year.

As for the next few years, earnings are expected to grow by 21% per annum.
