The Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Shevlux Media and Publisher of The MeridianSpy, Sunny Ibeh Jnr, has unveiled a new book titled The Mandate of a Generation: The Oladoja Leadership Chronicle. The unveiling ceremony was held at Nicon Luxury Hotel on Friday, with the attendance of prominent leaders and captains of industry.
Speaking at the event, Ibeh Jnr described the book as a compendium of carefully researched and analysed insights into contemporary leadership, particularly as it relates to young people. He noted that the work is crafted with precision, clarity, and depth, addressing issues of competence, opportunity, and leadership, while offering practical solutions to gaps in Nigeria and Africa’s leadership landscape.
Dignitaries present at the unveiling included the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin; the Minister of Agriculture, Abubakar Kyari; the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande; the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim; the Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr; the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Engagement, Sunday Asefon; and the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Olushola Oladoja, among others.
The Mandate of a Generation: The Oladoja Leadership Chronicle is a thought-provoking work that redefines leadership as a responsibility grounded in principle, competence, and measurable impact, rather than mere position or title. Using the leadership journey of Olushola Oladoja within NANS as a central case study, the book explores how effective leadership can restore credibility, rebuild institutions, and inspire meaningful change, even in complex environments.
The book also offers a critical analysis of leadership in Nigeria and across Africa, drawing comparisons with global best practices. It examines leadership challenges, especially those affecting competent young people and access to governance opportunities, while presenting a framework for reform and transformational leadership.
The Mandate of a Generation adds to the growing catalogue of works by the communication professional. In 2020, he published The Master Plan, followed by Against the Tides in 2021.
