Thousands of young Nigerians are expected to converge on the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on June 12, 2026, for the maiden edition of the Renewed Hope Youth Festival (RHYF), a platform designed to promote youth development, leadership, talent discovery, sports, and national dialogue.
Organised by the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Youth Directorate, the festival will feature a blend of games, entertainment, and interactive sessions aimed at empowering young people and encouraging their active participation in nation-building.
Speaking ahead of the event, Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, Youth Director of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), said the festival was conceived as a platform to harness the energy, creativity, and innovative potential of Nigerian youths.
“The Renewed Hope Youth Festival is more than an event; it is a movement aimed at inspiring young Nigerians to believe in themselves, develop their talents, embrace leadership, and contribute meaningfully to the development of our country. We are creating a platform where young people can connect, learn, compete, and be inspired to achieve greater heights.”
Dr. Abdullahi noted that the initiative aligns with the youth empowerment objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and seeks to foster greater youth participation in national development.
“Nigeria’s greatest asset is its youthful population. Through programmes such as this festival, we are investing in the future by providing opportunities for mentorship, networking, skills development, and constructive engagement.”
According to the organisers, the festival is committed to advancing five key objectives: youth development, leadership growth, community building, sports development, and talent discovery.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in sporting activities, entertainment showcases, networking sessions, and discussions focused on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and civic responsibility.
The organisers expressed confidence that the event would serve as a unifying platform for young Nigerians from diverse backgrounds while promoting values of patriotism, excellence, and social cohesion.
Doors for the event will open at 12 noon, while interested participants and vendors have been encouraged to register ahead of time.
The Renewed Hope Youth Festival is expected to become a flagship annual gathering dedicated to celebrating the talents, aspirations, and contributions of Nigerian youths to national growth and development.
