Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has insisted that the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Iyorchia Ayu has lost the right to remain in his position.

Wike said having lost his polling unit, ward, local government and State at the just-concluded General Elections, the chairman has to leave office immediately.

He told him to get prepared because the war against him in the party has just begun.

The governor said it had become unthinkable to allow someone who was unable to deliver his polling unit, ward, local government and State to the PDP during the last general elections to preside over the affairs of the party.

Wike spoke on Monday during the inauguration of the remodelled Community Secondary School in Okoro-nu-Odo, in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

Ayu was over the weekend suspended by his ward executives in Gboko, Benue state before a High Court sitting in Makurdi ordered him to stop parading himself as the national chairman of the party.
