A Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu has said Osun State needs a governor who will provide effective leadership and manage the state’s affairs like a chief executive officer (CEO) rather than an entertainer.
The presidential aide made the comment amid the growing political contest in Osun State ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
The statement appears to be a criticism of the administration of incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking another term in office.
The aide argued that governance requires competence, accountability and effective management of public resources, stressing that voters should consider the leadership qualities and capacity of candidates when deciding who should govern the state.
The remarks have added to the increasingly heated political exchanges surrounding the Osun governorship race.
