The North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum has expressed confidence in Senator Abdulaziz Yari’s ability to lead the party’s campaign efforts and secure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The forum, comprising APC stakeholders from the North-Central states, described Tinubu’s decision to appoint Yari as the Director-General of his presidential campaign council as a strategic choice, citing his political experience and acceptance across the northern region.
According to the group, Yari has built relationships with political, traditional and religious leaders, as well as youths and women across the North, positioning him to effectively mobilise support for the President.
The forum also pledged its support for the Presidential Campaign Council and said it would work with the North-Central coordinator, Okpokwu Ogenyi, to mobilise votes for Tinubu.
The group reaffirmed its target of delivering six million votes from the North-Central region for the President in the 2027 election.
