Iran Rejects U.S. Pressure, Vows Not to Be Intimidated in Nuclear Negotiations
Iran has once again cast aside mounting U.S. pressure, firmly declaring it will not be intimidated or coerced in ongoing nuclear talks, even as tensions with Washington escalate and diplomatic avenues remain fraught.
Speaking at a high profile forum in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi underscored Tehran’s refusal to halt uranium enrichment or concede to what it describes as threats from the United States, including a strengthened military presence in the Middle East. While the Iranian foreign ministry emphasizing Iran’s sovereign right to peaceful nuclear development.
Iran’s stance comes amid a renewed round of indirect nuclear negotiations with the United States in Muscat, Oman, where diplomats continue to seek a path forward. While Tehran describes the latest talks as a step forward, it insists that dialogue must be grounded in mutual respect not threats or ultimatums. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian affirmed that diplomacy remains Tehran’s strategic choice, but made clear that the language of force is unacceptable.
