Tyson Fury has been told he will not fight Deontay Wilder until November or December, Mirror Football reports.

The Brit stopped the then world champion in February in a rematch of their controversial draw in 2018.

Wilder immediately triggered a rematch clause in his contract, giving him the chance to win back his heavyweight title.

The third fight was slated for July 18 in Las Vegas but the coronavirus crisis pushed it back until October 3.

Now Fury’s promoter Bob Arum has told the champion he must wait until later in the year.

However, delaying the fight also allows Wilder more time to recover from his bicep surgery after he suffered an injury during his first professional defeat.

The American said recently: “Recovery is going well. I’m in therapy, I ended up injuring it during my last fight.

“I’ve been there before, but everything is going great with it. I’m just focusing on recovery and getting back to full health.

“I’m looking forward to once all this coronavirus stuff is over to getting back to camp and getting ready.”
