The Federal Capital Territory FCT coronavirus isolation and treatment centre at Idu has received a donation of 100 beds and mattresses by Binani Group of Companies.

In a statement signed by the FCTA Chief Press Secretary, Anthony Ogunleye on Friday and obtained by Meridian Spy, the FCT Minister, Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello who received the items on behalf of the FCTA, thanked the company for the kind gesture and said the donation will further boost the capacity of the centre to cater for the medical needs of COVID-19 patients in the FCT.

Describing the donation as very timely and significant, the FCT Minister said the donation will go a long way in aiding the fight against COVID-19. Adding that the Idu isolation centre previously had 306 beds already installed but, with the contribution by the company, would now increase its bed capacity to 406.
