‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that Nigeria’s economic reforms are beginning to produce positive results after what he described as three years of sacrifice and hardship.Start slideshow

‎

‎In his Eid-el-Kabir 2026 message to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world, the President said the difficult but necessary reforms introduced by his administration had started stabilising the economy and positioning the country for growth and investment.

‎

‎Tinubu stated that the sacrifices made by Nigerians were not in vain, noting that the country was gradually emerging from economic challenges.

‎

‎“Just as sacrifice brings reward, I am happy that the sacrifices and efforts we have made over the past three years have yielded a more stable economy, making our country a preferred investment destination that will drive job creation and economic growth. The walk through the dark tunnel is over, and the light is here,” the President said.

‎

‎He explained that the reforms were part of broader efforts to rebuild and renew the country for future generations, expressing confidence that the policies would continue to create opportunities and improve national security.

‎

‎The President also acknowledged the persistence of insecurity in some parts of the country, despite successes recorded by security agencies, including the recent elimination of a wanted ISIS leader.

‎

‎“I assure you: you are neither abandoned nor forgotten. We will ultimately defeat all the forces of evil,” he assured affected communities.

‎

‎Reflecting on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir, Tinubu said the celebration symbolises faith, sacrifice, obedience, compassion, and selflessness, urging Nigerians to uphold those values in their daily lives.

‎

‎He called on Muslims and all citizens to pray for peace, unity, and wisdom for leaders, while also encouraging support for the less privileged and vulnerable members of society.

‎

‎Tinubu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investments in security, infrastructure, agriculture, and human capital development to fulfil Nigeria’s potential.

‎

‎The President wished Muslims a peaceful, joyous, and blessed Eid-el-Kabir celebration, praying for Allah to accept the sacrifices and prayers of the faithful.
