Edo Declares Woman Who Tested Positive For COVID-19 Wanted For Treatment

Edo State Government has declared a woman named Mrs. Amaka Okoro, who tested positive for coronavirus, wanted for treatment in the state.

In a statement on Thursday, the state government said Mrs Okoro is a nursing mother who lives at no. 2 Atoe Idubor Str, off 2nd Ugbor, Benin City and has a baby that is already coughing, adding that she has been unreachable since her COVID-19 results returned positive.

It further stated that the woman poses a threat to herself, the baby and the general public, adding that anyone with useful information on her whereabouts to kindly contact the relevant and security agencies in the state.

The statement reads: “One Mrs. Amaka Okoro, who tested positive for #COVIDー19 , is wanted for treatment. She is a nursing mother, who has a baby that is already coughing. She lives at #2 Atoe Idubor Str, off 2nd Ugbor, Benin City.

“She has been unreachable since her results returned positive.

“Mrs. Okoro poses a threat to herself, the baby and the general public. Anyone with useful information on her whereabouts should please contact the relevant health and security agencies.”
