Confusion as PDP Youth wings Expel Prominent Member from Rivers

Turbulence continued to plague the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the Youth Forum took the drastic step of expelling Nyesom Wike, a former Rivers State governor and Minister of Federal Capital Territory, citing ongoing disagreements and perceived disloyalty to party interests.

In a statement signed by the PDP Youth Council from the 36 States of the Federation, after an extraordinary meeting in Abuja to review the state of affairs within the great party and the conduct of certain members whose actions have continued to undermine party unity and discipline.

After extensive deliberations and in line with their commitment to protect the integrity of the PDP, the Forum unanimously agreed that the former Governor of Rivers State and currently the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr. Nyesom Wike, has through his actions and open collaboration with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), violated the core principles and loyalty expected of a member of the PDP.

The youth representatives of the PDP across the 36 states of the federation, hereby announce the expulsion of Nyesom Wike from the PDP.

The decision reflected the collective will of their members nationwide, who can no longer tolerate his continued attempts to destabilize and discredit our great party from within.

The group calls on the National Working Committee (NWC), National Executive Committee (NEC) and the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the PDP to accept and formally ratify this resolution in the interest of justice, discipline, and the overall sanity of the party.

Their resolution is clear that the PDP must remain a credible alternative to the ruling APC.

To achieve this, the party must be purged of elements working as agents of distraction and destruction.

They remain committed to the ideals of democracy, unity, and service to Nigerians under the umbrella of the PDP.

Those who endorsed and signed the statement are Abia – Chukwudi Ejike; Adamawa – Maina Bala; Akwa Ibom – Utibe Akpan; Anambra – Emeka Chigozie; Bauchi – Madalla Yahaya; Bayelsa – David Daniel; Benue – Ortom Francis; Borno – Abubakar Bakare; Cross River – Udofia John; and Delta – Ejiro Efe
