President Muhammadu Buhari’s family is in joy as one of their daughters, who went into self-isolation after a UK trip to observe whether she had been infected with coronavirus, reunites with them.

The wife of the president, Aisha made the disclosure via her verified twitter handle on Thursday.

Meridian Spy had reported that Aisha had, on March 19, revealed via a series of tweets that one of her daughters was in self-isolation after returning from UK, though she showed no symptoms of the coronavirus disease.

Her daughters isolation period however elapsed on Thursday April 2, and the first lady took to social media to share the good news.

She wrote: “It is a thing of joy & gratitude to Almighty God to reunite with my daughter after she had been in isolation for 14 days immediately she landed in Nigeria. While I’m wishing all those infected for a speedy recovery, I pray for the end of this pandemic.”

Nigeria has recorded a total of 184 cases of COVID-19, 20 recoveries and two deaths.
