The Nigeria Police has arrested a suspect linked to the death of Vera Uwaila Omozuwa who was sexually assaulted at a branch of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Benin and eventually passed away at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) in the early hours of Sunday May 31.

Presidential media aide, Garba Shehu confirmed this on Tuesday via his verified Twitter handle.

“According to the spokesman of Edo Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, the suspect was arrested after the fingerprint on the fire extinguisher she was attacked with was examined,” Shehu tweeted.
