BREAKING: Dethroned Kano Emir, Sanusi, Arrested

The dethroned Emir of Kano, Mohammed Sanusi Lamido II has been arrested by security operatives.

The Emir, who was today dethroned by the Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, was arrested after men of the Nigerian Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC were sighted at the palace of the emir.

The embattled emir was dethroned over claims of abuse of tradition and culture of the emirate.
