The Federal High Court in Abuja has annulled the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Edo State, rendering the party without a candidate for the upcoming September 21st gubernatorial election.

Justice Ekwo’s court ruled that the PDP’s nomination processes violated its own constitution, thereby nullifying all processes leading to the February 22nd, 2024 primaries.

This means Asue Ighodalo and the PDP will not appear on the ballot, significantly reshaping the race for the governorship.

This  decision Merodian Spy reports thatbhas sent shockwaves through Edo State’s political landscape, leaving many wondering about the implications for the election.
