BREAKING: 220 New Cases Of Coronavirus Confirmed In Nigeria, Total Now 2,388

220 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria, bringing the total number to 2,388 in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC made the disclosure on Saturday night via its verified Twitter handle.

Of the 220 new cases, 62 were confirmed in Lagos, 52 in Abuja, 31 in Kaduna, 13 in Sokoto,10 in Kebbi, nine in Yobe, six in Borno, five in Edo and Bauchi, four in Gombe, Enugu and Oyo, three in Zamfara, and two each in Nasarawa, Osun, Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano and Plateau.

Deaths and discharged cases rose to 85 and 385 respectively.

NCDC tweeted: “220 new cases of #COVID19; 62-Lagos 52-FCT 31-Kaduna 13-Sokoto 10-Kebbi 9-Yobe 6-Borno 5-Edo 5-Bauchi 4-Gombe 4-Enugu 4-Oyo 3-Zamfara 2-Nasarawa 2-Osun 2-Ebonyi 2-Kwara 2-Kano 2-Plateau
