The Federal Government has budgeted N142.3 billion to feed 9.86 million children, deworm seven million children and recount the pupils in 2021 under the Home-Grown School Feeding programme (NHGSFP). The Kogi State Government has imposed a levy on each loaf of bread produced in the state. This was made known in a memo from the state’s Ministry of Commerce to the state chapter of the Association of Master bakers and Caterers of Nigeria (AMBCN). Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has submitted a bill to the state house of assembly to revoke the payment of pension and entitlements to former governors. Jubril Gawat, the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, made the disclosure on Tuesday via his official Twitter handle. “Governor of Lagos State, Mr @jidesanwoolu has announced his intention, through executive bill, to repeal the public office holder (Payment of Pension Law 2007), which provides for payment of pension & other entitlements to former governors and their deputies,” Gawat wrote.
