Senate President Godswill Akpabio has expressed confidence that Nigerians will re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in the 2027 general election.
Akpabio made the remarks on Monday while receiving members of the Senate Committee on Tertiary Institutions, TETFund and NELFund, led by Senator Muntari Dandutse, at his residence in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Senate President said the Tinubu administration had recorded significant achievements since taking office, arguing that the government inherited an economy facing serious challenges.
Akpabio said the All Progressives Congress would have enough achievements to present to Nigerians during the 2027 campaign, expressing confidence that voters would support Tinubu’s return to office.
He also criticised opposition politicians challenging the President, saying they had not presented Nigerians with convincing alternatives.
Akpabio further urged senators who will not return to the 11th National Assembly to remain committed to the APC and continue supporting the Tinubu administration.
