A former Kano Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure who was recently sacked by Kano State government for reportedly celebrating Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari’s death, Muazu Magaji has tested positive for coronavirus.
Magaji however disclaimed the reports of mocking the deceased Chief of Staff, noting that his statement was misunderstood.
The ex-commissioner, on Thursday, took to facebook to share with the public he tested positive for the virus as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, adding that he had been moved to the state isolation facility.
He said: “Dear all, I do truly apologize to you not getting across to me on phone or messages. I have been indispose due to ongoing health challenges some of us going through in Kano. In Sha Allah it will be well.
“This morning my NCDC test is out. I have been confirmed COVID-19 positive and have been moved to one of the state facilities… pray for us.”
