The Nigeria Police has alleged that some people posing as ENDSARS protesters attacked its facilities in various areas in Benin, the Edo State capital.
The areas were the attack occurred were Ugbekun Police Station, Oba Market Police Station and Idogbo Police Post in Benin.
In a statement confirming the attack on Monday, Frank Mba, the Force Spokesperson, said the extent of the damage on its facilities as at the time it issued the statement could not be confirmed.
Mba, however, noted that the protesters carted away arms and ammunition from the armoury and freed the suspects in custody before setting some of the facilities ablaze.

“The extent of damage cannot be ascertained at the moment but report indicates that the protesters carted away arms and ammunition from the armoury and freed the suspects in custody before setting some of the facilities ablaze.
