Nigeria has confirmed 216 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total to 54,463 in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure via its verified Twitter handle on Wednesday
Of the 216 new cases, Plateau continued its lead in the daily toll, confirming 59 infections, followed by Rivers and Abia with 27 and 22 respectively. Others are Lagos-20, Oyo-18, Enugu-17, Kaduna-11, FCT-11, Ogun-10, Ebonyi-4, Osun-4, Ekiti-4, Delta-3, Edo-3, Akwa Ibom-2 and Bauchi-1.
Death toll increased by four to 1,027, while total recovery rose to 42,439.
