JUST IN: One Dead In Fuel Tanker Accident In Lagos

An accident involving a fuel tanker has occurred at Mile 2 area of Lagos State, leading to the death of an yet-to-be-identified female.

Nosa Okunbor, spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) who confirmed the incident on Friday, said the fully-loaded fuel tanker which was conveying 55,000 litres of petrol was on a recovery operation when the incident occurred.

Okunbor said the LASEMA response team were already at the scene of the incident.

“LASEMA Response Team is at Mile 2, inward the Nigerian Army Signal Barracks in recovery operation of a fully-loaded Oil Tanker conveying 55,000 litres of petrol involved in a lone accident which killed a female adult,” he said.
