Ahead of the Edo State governorship election, three Oil and Gas Commissioners in the Edo State Oil Gas Producing Area Development Commission (EDOSOGPADEC) have resigned their appointment from the administration of the incumbent Governor, Godwin Obaseki.
The names of the Commissioners are Prince Emmanuel Odigie, Alhaji Aiwanu Oshiomhole and Osamwonyi Atu representing Edo Central, Edo North Senatorial districts respectively and Orhionmwon.
Also, one of the Governor’s Special Advisers, Hon. Bright Njor of the Ugbeka Ward 03 resigned his position.
The three Commissioners and the Special Adviser to Governor Obaseki, in their resignation letter seen by MERIDIAN SPY on Monday, declared support for Pastor, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Their decision to support Ize-Iyamu, according to their letter, was because they got their positions in the first place as a result of their loyalty to the APC governorship candidate and have chosen to stay true to the cause that earned them their places.
They however appreciated Governor Obaseki for the opportunity he gave them to serve and wished him well in his bid to become governor of the state.
