The crisis rocking the All Progressive Congress (APC) has taken another twist as self-acclaimed acting national chairman, Victor Giadom obtained a court order reaffirming him as the Acting National Chairman of the party.
The order was granted by Justice S. U. Bature of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court on Thursday.
Justice Bature also ruled that Mustapha Salihu, the National Vice Chairman North-East, should act as national secretary.
The rulings were sequel to ex parte motions filed by Salihu.
The judge held that his ruling would subsist pending the time NEC convenes and take a decision or determination of the suit.
The court’s ruling is however coming after Giadom’s position as the party’s Deputy National Secretary was declared vacant by the APC National Working Committee, following a meeting held on Wednesday night.
When contacted on Thursday, Salihu told The Cable that he was shocked by the court order because he had moved on.
But Salihu did not respond to a question on whether he had withdrawn the suit.
It should be recalled that the self-acclaimed Acting National Chairman had, in March, secured an order from the court allowing him to act as APC national chairman, following a court order suspending the embattled national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
After the Court of Appeal upheld Oshiomhole’s suspension as the party’s national chairman, the APC NWC announced Senator Abiola Ajimobi as his replacement but due to his unavoidable absence, Hilliard Etta was asked to act in his stead as the Acting National Chairman.
