President Muhammadu Buhari has renamed the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State to Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi.
In a statement issued by the presidency via its official twitter handle, the President signed into law a bill amending the Federal Universities of Agriculture Act, Cap. F22, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, to change the name of the Federal University to Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi.
The statement reads: “President @MBuhari has signed into law a Bill amending the Federal Universities of Agriculture Act, Cap. F22, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, to change the name of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State to Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi.”
