A woman has died of complications from the deadly coronavirus disease after giving birth to a set of twins in Imo State.
This was confirmed by the Chairman of the state COVID19 Task Force, professor Maurice Iwu on Monday.
Iwu said the deceased woman tested positive for COVID-19 a few days ago and was admitted into the state isolation center.
He said the woman died after she was delivered of a set of twins, leaving behind her babies who fortunately tested negative for the virus disease.
The COVID-19 Task Force chairman further warned residents of the state to stop believing and spreading rumors that the virus is not real.
He advised them to ensure they take all precautionary measures to prevent themselves from contracting the virus.
