Edo State Government has announced the discharge of 50 coronavirus patients from isolation centres in the state.
This was disclosed by the state Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Monday via his official Twitter handle.
Governor Obaseki also disclosed that the death toll had risen to 31, with the elderly making up most of the fatalities confirmed in the state.
“We have discharged 50 #COVID19 patients from our isolation centres in the state. A total of 197 people have recovered so far,” he wrote.
“However, the death toll has risen to 31, with the elderly making up a large number of the fatalities.”
The governor further urged its people to “please, keep safe and protect the elderly”.
