Some vigilant officers of the Lagos State Police Command on Third Mainland Bridge prevented a young man from jumping into the lagoon.
The state Police Command made the disclosure on Tuesday via its verified Twitter handle.
According to the police, the unnamed young man appeared to be frustrated and was hell bent on jumping into the lagoon, despite being restrained by the officers.
The Force noted that the averted incident occurred on Monday and the young man has been taken to Oworo Police Station where his family was contacted.
“Yesterday our vigilant officers on 3MB prevented this young man from diving into the Lagoon. His expression of frustration made him hell bent on jumping despite being restrained by the officers. He’s been taken to Oworo Police Station where his family was contacted. #TheGoodGuys,” the state Police Command tweeted.
