The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye says the dreaded coronavirilus pandemic will soon become a blessing to the world.
Speaking during a live broadcast on Dove TV, Adeboye appreciated the federal government for its effort in fighting the pandemic and also for allowing congregational worship, amidst the increase in number of infections.
“We thank God for everything the government has been doing during this pandemic,” he said.
“You can’t lock down the whole world forever.
”Sooner or later, the lockdown will be over.
“For some people, it will be over sooner than expected. Worship God appropriately and see how the lockdown will be a blessing.
“If you learn to worship God, you will see the lockdown becoming an asset rather than a problem.
“Your duty is to wait on the lord, God is the Guest, you are the waiter, don’t bombard him with request, when you waited on God, you can always fly over several mountains.”
The government had placed a ban on religious gathering two months ago to stem the spread of COVID-19.
But at the briefing of the presidential task force (PTF) on COVID-19 on Monday, Boss Mustapha, secretary to the government of the federation and chairman of the PTF, announced that President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the relaxation of the ban for four weeks.
